Our founding team at BIPOC Equity Agency all faced major hurdles in long Covid healthcare. Covid brought us together and pushed equity in healthcare to the forefront. We also have all experienced disability from long Covid at some time during our recovery as well. As a result, we have a deeper understanding of present-day societal and systemic barriers when it comes to living with disabilities than other racial equity organizations. WHY ISNT BIPOC EQUITY AGENCY A NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION?
BIPOC Equity Agency is an organization founded by Liza Fisher and Cynthia Adinig. Both founders alongside the founding team have a long history of community engagement. This created partnerships with non-profit organizations who already tackle the issues that are aligned to our organization. One of our founding members even has had their own non profit well before the pandemic. However, not being a nonprofit, doesn't mean we aren't community centered.
